The Broxburn footlights started way back in 2001 founders Keith and Merle decided they wanted to pass on their knowledge and experience onto a youth group so they canvassed local schools, groups and community centers to set up a drama group, it was very difficult at first with only a handful of children coming along from one local school in Broxburn, but year on year the Broxburn Footlights Youth Drama Group have gone from strength to strength.
To date we have 21 children aged between 10 and 18, our very first production was The Day They Lost Raggety Ruth, it seems so long ago but we have come along way, our last production was "Olivia" we played to 3 full houses at The Howden Park Centre,
We are very busy just now at rehearsals at our base at The Strathbrock Partnership Community Centre at Broxburn every Monday, I hope you enjoy our new website and please come along and support local Drama in your community
