Police recover gun stolen from Broxburn abattoir
A gun stolen from Broxburn’s abattoir at Christmas time has been recovered by police.
Just before the New Year, s1broxburn reported that officers were appealing for information after a captive bolt gun was taken from Vion Hall Foods sometime between Thursday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 27.
Police have now confirmed that the firearm was recovered at a Lanarkshire farm on Thursday, January 12.
A police spokesperson said: "Inquiries are still ongoing into the theft of this bolt gun and we would once again appeal for anyone with any information to get in touch with police on 0131 311 3131."
